Behind the design
Adorning a tomb within the Lestrange Family Mausoleum, the insignia of the Lestrange family is a symbol that boasts the legacy and prestige of the ancient wizarding family. Our design features the Lestrange’s ‘L’ initial mirrored in gold and surmounted by heraldic diamonds and a majestic black raven. Using traditional heraldry as a starting point, MinaLima designed the insignia to include a raven, referencing the dark emblem of the Lestrange family and their cautionary pure-blood motto that translates as ‘A Crow will not pull out the Eye of Another Crow.’
