Behind the design

A required textbook for first year students at Hogwarts, 'Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them' was Newt Scamander's famed magizoological book detailing everything from bowtruckles to hippogriffs. Our design features the intricate cover with its gilded illustration of a mythical beast twisting across the surface of the textbook. Inspired by illuminated manuscripts, MinaLima designed the original graphic prop with a fantastical many-headed beast to reflect the curious wizarding creatures catalogued within the book.
