Behind the design
Gifted to Harry by Fred and George Weasley, The Marauder's Map became his indispensable guide to exploring every inch of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Our design features the iconic red ink cover that appears when the daring witch or wizard speaks the incantation 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'. Inspired by ink drawings from medieval maps, Miraphora illustrated a walled fortress around the title to reflect the wizarding school's ancient origins and used handwritten script to reveal the nicknames of the map's cunning creators.

Mischief managed.

Behind the design
Gifted to Harry by Fred and George Weasley, The Marauder's Map became his indispensable guide to exploring every inch of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Our design features the Whomping Willow detail from the iconic cover, a meaningful inclusion that hints at the turbulent tree's significance to the map's cunning creators. Taking inspiration from eighteenth-century animal drawings created entirely out of words, Miraphora wrote the name of the tree into the twisting branches using the same swirling handwriting as the inside of the map, almost as if magic is written within the very walls of Hogwarts.

Mischief managed.
