Behind the design
Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima have created a wide variety of publications for the Wizarding World, including newspapers, magazines and books. Edited by Luna Lovegood's father Xenophilius, The Quibbler was an eccentric wizarding magazine often mocked for publishing conspiracy theories and far-fetched stories. It is first seen on screen in the film 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' when Luna Lovegood reads the magazine on the Hogwarts Express. The wild graphic style of the magazine visually signifies how the The Quibbler offers an alternative voice to the oppressive Ministry controlled newspaper, The Daily Prophet.
