Stumbled upon by Harry at 12 Grimmauld Place, the Black Family Tapestry weaves together the ancient and modern lineage of his godfather Sirius, whose portrait, alongside those of other disgraced family members, has been burnt out of the tapestry. Our design features the damaged portrait of Sirius Black, an infamous member of the notorious wizarding family, the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Created to look aged and worn, the family portraits designed by MinaLima were painted directly onto the tapestry before the black-listed witches and wizards were scorched by set designers.

Our design features the portrait of Bellatrix Lestrange, an infamous member of the notorious wizarding family, the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. Designed to blend in with the medieval woven style of the tapestry, Miraphora experimented with several versions of Bellatrix's portrait before finally basing the depiction on Helena Bonham-Carter, who portrays the dangerous character on-screen.
