Behind the design

Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes is the wonderfully bonkers joke shop founded by Fred and George Weasley. Their shop in Diagon Alley is a visual feast, seen for the first time in ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’, and is filled to the brim with over 200 colourful and exciting products that line three storeys of shelves. Created to recall the garish style of cheap plastic toys and brightly coloured sweets from the 1970s, MinaLima designed the Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes products with purposely unsophisticated graphics in vulgar colours to mirror the fearless and fun-loving nature of their teenage creators.
