Behind the design
In the film 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' Ron receives a Howler from Mrs Weasley after he and Harry fly the enchanted Ford Anglia to Hogwarts. A magical letter that enchants the message into the writer’s voice, the envelope of the Howler transforms into a furious mouth and the entire Great Hall hears Mrs Weasley’s yelled rebuke of her son. MinaLima created the concept art and graphic prop for the Howler and experimented with origami to create the cavernous, yelling mouth, with Mrs Weasley’s spiky writing visible within.
