Behind the design
Gifted to Harry by Fred and George Weasley, The Marauder's Map became his indispensable guide to exploring every inch of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Our design features the Hogwarts Castle detail surrounding the title of the map which appears when the daring witch or wizard speaks the incantation ‘I solemnly swear that I am up to no good’. Inspired by ink drawings from medieval maps, Miraphora illustrated a walled fortress around the title to reflect the ancient origins of the wizarding school.
