Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima have designed a huge range of books for the Wizarding World, ageing them, adding text on the interior pages, and sometimes even handwritten notes to make them feel more realistic. From Dolores Umbridge’s reading list, originally designed for the fifth film. Inspired by mid-century school text books, ‘Dark Arts Defence – Basic for Beginners’ was deliberately used by Professor Umbridge to teach a basic level of defence, below the expected standards of the Hogwarts students.
