Behind the design

A required textbook for first year students at Hogwarts, 'Hogwarts: A History' details the rich history of the wizarding school from the famed Chamber of Secrets to the bewitched ceiling of the Great Hall. Our design features the decorative cover with its parchment silhouette of Hogwarts' Astronomy and Central towers on vintage marbled paper, similar to the covers of Hogwarts students’ exercise books. Though the title is mentioned earlier in the film series, a design for the cover was not required until the seventh film, when MinaLima designed the original graphic prop for Hermione Granger’s precious book collection.
