Welcome to MinaLima! Founded in 2009 by Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, the graphic designers who imagined and created the graphic universe of the Harry Potter™ film series for Warner Bros. Their partnership has flourished through all the subsequent films with their prop designs inspiring a range of their own merchandise products and art prints. This has enabled our Retail arm “The Art Printorium” to continue to expand and we are now a very successful small business with robust international growth plans.

Mid-Weight Design/ Illustrator: Key Responsibilities:
- Bringing creativity and thinking that follows MinaLima’s identity and aesthetic.
- Designing and developing illustrations from concept through to production.
- Concept sketching.
- Collaborating with the wider in-house team to deliver MinaLima’s design values.
- Accurately setting files up for print with an awareness of manufacturing processes that will impact design choices.
- Building strong relationships within the wider team through regular and clear communication and a collaborative approach to work.
- Guide/mentor our Junior Designers by providing feedback on how to improve and seek out new innovative solutions.
- An awareness of deliverables/ time and the commercial implications and the rules of engagement.
- Delivering innovative, fun and well-executed design work that pushes boundaries.
Mid-Weight Design/ Illustrator Requirements:
- Extensive relevant industry experience in publishing and book design.
- Graphic Design or Product Design BA (Hons) or equivalent qualification.
- Proven graphic design skills that produce innovative and visually compelling work, delivering on the brand vision.
- Expert skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Detail-oriented, organised and with good time management skills – able to work across multiple projects at once in a high-paced environment.
- Good communicator who is a collaborative and fun team player.
- Bringing curiosity and a thirst for learning – demonstrating a willingness to learn from more experienced designers.
- Flexible and willing to react quickly to changing demands of the business.
- Skilled at working both independently and in a team, bringing a positive can-do attitude to all aspects of the role.
Senior Design/ Illustrator: Key Responsibilities: In addition to the Mid-Weight responsibilities and requirements above we would like experience with:
- Managing clients and leading and mentoring the creative teams.
- Inspiring and motivating our team members through displaying and communicating the commitment to creativity and craft.
- Demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles and trends and being able to apply these in practice to create work that inspires.
- Excellent understanding of MinaLima bigger picture – design / aesthetics / storytelling. With a strong eye for detail and able to be quality control for the team.
- Leading and mentoring our team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth and showing them the MinaLima way!
- Understanding and acknowledging how the wider business picture impacts on people, product, profile and evaluate how that may affect the day to day decision making.
- Building relationships with partners, clients and fans, representing and growing the MinaLima brand.
- Experienced in project planning from the team resources and the financial planning for the timeline and deliverables.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in 3D software for elevations/architectural & animation.
- Understanding of external communications (experience of communicating with printers/factories is a plus).
The Details:
- 40 hours per week, full time, we will also consider Part-Time, Fixed Days.
- Hybrid working within our Soho, London studio (fully in-office during probation period).
