Behind the design
Concealed from the Muggle world, the 中国魔法部章 is the wizarding governing body of China, dealing with everything from magical law enforcement to maintaining wizarding secrecy. Our design features the striking insignia with its iconic dragon motif, calligraphic elements and auspicious colour palette of red, gold and black. Inspired by traditional Chinese art from the 1920s, MinaLima designed the insignia to be instantly recognisable as part of the Chinese Ministry’s identity in order to stand out against the competing election campaigns.
